Privacy Policy

1. Overview
MarketPush Inc. ("MarketPush," "we," "us" or "our") runs a performance marketing and market-expansion studio out of 1000 Parker Street, Suite 118, Vancouver, BC V6A 2H2, Canada, registered under Business Number 592618374 RC0001. This page sets out what we do with personal information touching the marketpush.life website and our client work: what we gather, the reasons behind it, who else might see it, and the say you have over all of that. We have built these practices around two frameworks — Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") nationally, and, since our home base is British Columbia, the BC Personal Information Protection Act ("BC PIPA") provincially.
Coverage extends to anyone browsing marketpush.life, anyone who fills in our contact form, and anyone whose details we handle while running a client engagement. It stops at the edge of our own site — any outbound link takes you to a destination with its own separate privacy practices.
2. Scope of this policy
Plain language was the goal here, not dense legal boilerplate — a policy nobody can actually read protects nobody. Wherever PIPEDA or BC PIPA use a term with a specific legal meaning, we have tried to unpack it in context instead of assuming you already know the statute. Anything still unclear after reading this page is worth raising with us directly using the details in Section 17.
3. Personal information we collect
The list below is intentionally short, sized to what a performance studio genuinely needs to function:
- What you type into our contact form: your name, an email address, an optional phone number, an optional company name, which subject you picked from the dropdown, and whatever you wrote in the message box.
- Proof that you consented: confirmation that the consent checkbox on that form was ticked, plus the moment in time it happened, so we have evidence tied to that specific submission if it is ever questioned.
- Whatever comes up once we are talking: details shared over email, phone or in person after an enquiry turns into a real conversation — market specifics, category context, business background relevant to a proposed push.
- Records tied to a paid engagement: billing information, who is authorised to sign for the client, and any further business detail needed to actually run market briefing, cohort work, creative testing, media orchestration or measurement services.
- Aggregate site-usage signals: only if you opt into analytics cookies through our banner, in which case we see non-identifying, aggregated patterns of which pages get visited. Our Cookie Policy goes deeper on this one specifically.
What is deliberately absent from that list: health information, government ID numbers beyond whatever Canadian tax rules require for invoicing, and financial account numbers. We do not ask for any of that through this website.
4. Where this information comes from
Overwhelmingly, it comes straight from you — typed into a form, sent by email, said on a call, or mentioned face-to-face. Once an engagement is underway, we might also pick up contact details for a colleague you have named as a point person, or for someone a trusted referral source has introduced on your behalf. We never buy lists from data brokers to fuel our own outreach.
5. What we actually do with it
Every use we make of this information ties back to running MarketPush and delivering what we have agreed to deliver:
- Getting back to whoever wrote in, and pointing the right enquiry — market brief, new engagement, retainer, or a general question — toward the strategist best placed to answer it.
- Setting up and running market brief calls and the discovery conversations that tend to follow.
- Putting together proposals, briefs, contracts and invoices once a prospective client decides to move forward.
- Actually delivering the contracted work itself — market briefing, cohort and insight systems, media orchestration, creative testing, measurement, or ongoing retainer support.
- Keeping the books straight for tax and administrative purposes, as Canadian and British Columbian law requires.
- Looking at aggregate, cookie-gated usage patterns to figure out which pages need work.
None of it gets sold on. None of it gets fed into a third-party AI model for training purposes, either — the AI marketing tools we use internally for research briefs or campaign drafting work against category and competitor research, never against the personal details you hand us through a form.
6. Our legal footing: PIPEDA and BC PIPA
PIPEDA lays out ten fair-information principles that private organisations across Canada are expected to follow — accountability, meaningful consent, collecting only what is needed, limiting use and disclosure, keeping data accurate, safeguarding it, being open about practices, letting individuals see their own file, and giving them a way to challenge how we are doing. BC PIPA layers a provincial standard on top for organisations based in British Columbia, largely comparable in substance. Where the two frameworks would ever point in slightly different directions on a specific practice, we default to whichever standard protects you more.
7. Consent, and how our form handles it
The checkbox on our contact form — labelled consent_pipeda — starts unticked, on purpose, and the form simply will not submit until a visitor ticks it themselves. We are not interested in pre-filled boxes or consent buried inside a longer agreement; if you are enquiring, you are actively saying yes to that specific use of your information. Once a client relationship exists, our ongoing handling of information rests instead on what is contractually necessary to deliver the retainer or engagement in question.
Marketing emails about MarketPush itself are opt-out at any time — just email [email protected] and we will stop. That does not touch information we are legally obligated to keep for tax, contractual or other compliance reasons.
8. AI tools and personal information, specifically
Generative AI and other AI marketing tools show up in our day-to-day work, but their job is speeding up category research, competitor scans and drafting — not processing the personal details you submit to us. Your name, your email address, the content of your message: none of that is passed into a third-party AI system for training. Wherever AI-assisted output does get produced for client or public use, a human strategist reviews it first, in line with the human-in-the-loop approach described on our Services and About pages.
9. Who else sees this information
Inside MarketPush, access is limited to the senior strategists and administrative staff actually working a given file — a need-to-know arrangement, not open access. Outside the company, a short list of service providers touches some of it:
- The hosting and email-delivery providers that keep this site running and route form submissions to our inbox.
- The accounting and invoicing tools we use for client billing.
- Occasionally, a subcontracted specialist — a media buyer, say — brought in with a client's explicit agreement, who sees campaign-relevant business context rather than the personal details of whoever originally filled in our form.
Any provider we work with is expected to protect information to a standard consistent with this policy and with PIPEDA and BC PIPA. We do not hand information to outside parties so they can market to you independently.
10. When data crosses the border
Certain hosting and software tools behind this website and our client communications are based outside Canada, the United States included, depending on which vendor is involved. When that is the case, we choose vendors whose privacy and security posture holds up to Canadian expectations. If you want specifics on where a particular piece of your information sits, ask us and we will tell you what we can.
11. How long we keep things
An enquiry that never becomes an engagement sits in our records for up to two years before it is cleared out, sooner if you ask us to delete it earlier. Once something becomes a real engagement, contracts and invoices stick around for as long as Canadian and British Columbian tax and corporate rules require — typically a floor of six years past the relevant tax year. Cookie preferences, separately, live in your browser for six months before the banner reappears.
12. Keeping it safe
We restrict who inside the company can see client and enquiry files to the people actually working on them, and we lock down our email and storage systems with access controls sized to the sensitivity of what is inside. That said, no system connected to the internet is bulletproof, and we cannot promise perfect security for anything sent to us over the wire, contact form included.
13. Cookies, in brief
A banner greets first-time visitors with Accept all, Reject all and Customise options. Everything about what each category actually stores, why, and for how long sits in our dedicated Cookie Policy, which this page treats as an extension of itself.
14. What you can ask of us
PIPEDA and BC PIPA both give you a standing right to see what we hold on you, to have anything inaccurate corrected, and to ask how a piece of your information has been used or passed along. Send that request to [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line, or call +1 (604) 398-6247 during studio hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 PT. Expect a reply inside thirty days as a rule.
15. About minors
This is a business-to-business studio; nothing here is aimed at children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under sixteen through this website.
16. Keeping this page current
As our practices, our services or the law shift, this page shifts with them. Check the "last updated" line at the top for the most recent revision date. If a change would meaningfully affect how we handle an existing client's information, we will raise it with that client directly rather than leave them to notice a diff on a webpage.
17. Contact us and complaints
Here is where to send a question, a concern, or a formal complaint about how we handle personal information:
- MarketPush Inc., 1000 Parker Street, Suite 118, Vancouver, BC V6A 2H2, Canada
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: +1 (604) 398-6247
Not satisfied with how we resolved something? You can escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada for anything falling under PIPEDA, or to British Columbia's Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for matters specifically arising under BC PIPA.
